Job Purpose
The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in accordance with the Egyptian Ministry of Education curriculum for Grades 4, 5, and 6. The teacher will develop students' understanding of history, geography, citizenship, national identity, and cultural heritage while fostering critical thinking, research, and communication skills in an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective Social Studies lessons in Arabic according to the Ministry of Education curriculum.
Teach concepts related to history, geography, citizenship, economics, and national heritage.
Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and accommodate different learning styles.
Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry skills.
Integrate relevant resources, maps, technology, and visual aids into lessons.
Encourage students to make connections between classroom learning and real-life situations.
Assessment and Student Progress
Prepare and administer quizzes, assignments, projects, and examinations.
Assess student performance regularly and maintain accurate records.
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
Identify students requiring additional support and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
Monitor and report student progress in accordance with school policies.
Classroom Management
Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.
Implement classroom rules and behavior management strategies effectively.
Ensure student safety and well-being during all classroom activities.
Curriculum and Planning
Develop lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with curriculum standards.
Ensure timely completion of curriculum objectives and syllabus requirements.
Participate in curriculum review and development initiatives when required.
Communication and Collaboration
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Attend parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student achievement.
Contribute to school events, activities, and educational initiatives.
Professional Responsibilities
Maintain professionalism and uphold school policies and procedures.
