The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the Facility Management company. This includes managing general accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role requires strong experience in handling service-based contracts, cost allocation, and multi-site operations.
1.Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts
Monitor cash flow, revenue recognition, and expense tracking
Develop financial reports for management decision-making
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and monitor annual budgets for FM projects and operations
Track actual vs. budgeted costs across multiple sites/contracts
Analyze variances and provide recommendations
Control operational costs (maintenance, manpower, subcontractors)
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Oversee invoicing for FM contracts (monthly service invoices, variations, etc.)
Ensure timely collection from clients
Manage vendor payments and subcontractor invoices
Maintain strong follow-up on receivables
4. Contract & Project Accounting
Handle accounting for long-term FM contracts
Monitor contract profitability and cost allocation per site
Support commercial and operations teams with financial insights
Review contract terms from a financial perspective
5. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and company policies
Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes
Maintain proper documentation and financial controls
6. Team Management
Supervise and guide the accounting team
Assign tasks and ensure deadlines are met
Support team development and performance evaluation
7. Systems & Process Improvement
Manage ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo)
Improve accounting processes and internal controls
Ensure data accuracy across systems
