The Cost & Budget Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing product costing for industrial manufacturing operations, monitoring production costs, supporting budgeting activities, and ensuring accurate cost allocation to improve financial control and operational efficiency.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare product costing sheets for all manufactured products.
Analyze raw material, labor, and overhead costs.
Monitor manufacturing expenses and production cost variances.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Review inventory valuation and stock movement transactions.
Calculate standard costs and update costing structures periodically.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, procurement, and finance departments for cost data collection.
Prepare monthly costing and budget reports.
Support financial closing activities related to costing and inventory.
Analyze cost reduction opportunities and operational efficiency improvements.
Ensure proper recording and allocation of manufacturing costs.
Assist in internal and external audit requirements related to costing and budgeting.
