The GL Accountant is responsible for maintaining the company’s general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, adjustments).
Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare financial reports and schedules as required.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and internal controls.
Support audits and respond to auditor queries.
Coordinate with AP, AR, and Treasury for accurate financial reporting.
