Ward Manager (Physician Only).

Key Job Responsibilities Supervise and ensure quality medical care provided to inpatients. Conduct regular ward rounds and follow up on patient management plans. Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, patient safety standards, and infection control policies. Manage daily ward operations to ensure smooth patient flow and bed utilisation. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers in collaboration with nursing and medical teams. Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in patient records. Participate in developing and implementing ward policies and procedures. Lead and coordinate physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare staff within the ward. Support staff scheduling and coverage to ensure adequate staffing levels. Promote teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient care and ward efficiency. Investigate and report incidents, complaints, and adverse events. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities. Act as a communication point between patients, families, and hospital management. Coordinate with other departments (ER, ICU, diagnostics, pharmacy) to ensure continuity of care. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
