Are you a seasoned security professional ready to lead and strengthen enterprise security operations in a growing organization? We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Senior Security Engineer / Security Team Lead to join our team in Giza, Egypt. This is an on-site opportunity for a technically strong security leader who can drive security initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and help build a more mature and effective enterprise security environment.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong practical experience in enterprise security engineering with leadership capability, sound judgment, and the ability to work across multiple security domains. The selected candidate will play a key role in securing infrastructure, improving visibility, reducing risk, and guiding junior team members in areas such as endpoint security, pentesting support, and compliance-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and train junior security engineers, helping build a stronger and more capable internal security team
Design, implement, manage, and improve enterprise security controls across network, endpoint, server, identity, data, and monitoring layers
Secure and support enterprise infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, remote access technologies, and segmentation controls
Manage and improve technologies related to network security, endpoint and workload protection, vulnerability management, data security, identity and access control, and threat monitoring
Review and strengthen security configurations, policies, access controls, hardening baselines, and operational practices
Support vulnerability management activities including scanning, validation, prioritization, reporting, and remediation follow-up
Conduct and supervise hardening activities for servers, endpoints, and network devices in line with security best practices
Support security monitoring, SIEM use cases, SOC processes, XDR visibility, alert tuning, and incident investigation activities
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, containment support, and post-incident improvement
Support implementation of security controls aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS
Assist in audit readiness, evidence preparation, remediation planning, and technical control validation
Develop and maintain security documentation, implementation guides, procedures, standards, and technical reports
Collaborate with infrastructure, IT, engineering, and application teams to integrate security into daily operations and project delivery
Skills & Technologies
This role requires strong knowledge of enterprise security engineering and the ability to work across multiple layers of security architecture and operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in several of the following areas:
Network security and firewall administration
Endpoint and workload protection
Vulnerability management and remediation follow-up
Security hardening for servers, endpoints, and network devices
SIEM, SOC, XDR, and security monitoring concepts
Identity and access management, including MFA
Data security controls, encryption concepts, and access monitoring
Incident detection, investigation, and response support
Security policy implementation and operational best practices
Enterprise infrastructure security, including routers, switches, VPNs, and remote access controls
Compliance alignment with standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001
Vendor-specific experience may be considered an advantage, but the role is primarily focused on strong enterprise security knowledge, sound engineering practices, and the ability to apply security controls effectively in real-world environments.
