Senior Storage & Backup Engineer

Are you a hands-on storage professional with strong experience in enterprise storage and backup environments? We are looking for a highly capable Senior Storage and Backup Engineer to join our team. This is an on-site opportunity for a technically strong engineer who can take ownership of the design, implementation, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise storage and backup solutions across customer and internal environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full technical lifecycle of storage platforms, including solution design, deployment, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup integration, disaster recovery readiness, and operational support. This role is best suited for a senior engineer who combines deep technical knowledge with practical execution and can guide site engineers during implementation and support activities. We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in enterprise storage technologies, with exposure to IBM environments considered a strong advantage, while experience with other leading platforms such as Huawei, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, or similar enterprise storage technologies is also highly valuable.   Overview As our Senior Storage and Backup Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining resilient storage and backup environments across production and disaster recovery sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that enterprise storage platforms are properly designed, deployed, integrated, optimized, and protected according to business and technical requirements. You will also provide technical direction to engineers working on-site, review implementation activities, and contribute to building stronger internal delivery capability in storage and backup services.   Key Responsibilities Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise storage and backup solutions Take ownership of all technical activities related to storage architecture, deployment, expansion, integration, migration, optimization, and support Manage storage provisioning, host mapping, replication, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting Handle storage installation and implementation activities across customer and internal environments Support and manage backup, restore, retention, and recovery operations Ensure proper integration between storage and backup platforms for data protection and recovery readiness Participate in disaster recovery planning, recovery testing, restore validation, and business continuity support Work with enterprise infrastructure environments, including integration with business-critical systems and platforms Review storage performance, utilization, resilience, and availability, and recommend improvements proactively Support storage upgrades, migrations, firmware updates, and lifecycle management activities Troubleshoot storage, backup, and infrastructure-related issues in production environments Guide and support site engineers during implementation and operational activities Review technical work, provide hands-on direction, and help develop a secondary backup resource within the team Prepare and maintain technical documentation, low-level designs, implementation plans, operational procedures, and support reports Coordinate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery and reliable operations   Technical Scope Strong experience in several of the following areas is expected: Enterprise storage architecture and administration Storage solution design and implementation Backup and recovery platforms Storage provisioning, replication, and migration Performance tuning and capacity planning Disaster recovery operations and recovery validation SAN environments, FC, iSCSI, and multipathing Block, file, and object storage concepts Production and DR operational support Storage monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting Enterprise infrastructure integration Experience with IBM storage environments is a strong advantage. Experience with other enterprise storage platforms such as Huawei, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, or similar technologies is also highly valued
